How To Draft A Notice

Notice - The formal announcement o information through which one can make everyone known about the forthcoming happening or activity is called notice.

It is an announcement or warning in advance giving information, which is given in a newspaper or magazine or displayed on a NOTICE-BOARD.
Notice is generally about something that has happened or going to happen. It should be in brief and complete sentences. One should avoid phrases and quotations.


Characteristics of a notice: -
*It should be simple and brief.
*Notice must be to the point.
*Complete sentences are used.
*Places and date of issuing is written in hte beginning.
*Signature along with designation is put in the end.
* Pay attention to the format and style of drafting.

The layout of notice - Notices are drafted in the following ways:-
Address of notice - The address should be written at the top of the page.
Date - Date should be written just below the address in the left side of the page.
Heading - Heading of the notice should be written in brief and to the point.
Body - The body of the notice in the right manner avoiding phrases, quotations or symbolic expression. Complete sentences should be written.
Signature - At last sign or name will be given at the bottom of the notice.
